Movie in Making: Sholay Remake II

I juss finished watching Sholay hindi movie and was thinking who can replace veeru(dharmendra) and Jaydev(amitabh) roles in Sholay movie if anybody makes it third time. Everyone knows real Sholay was super duper bumper hit and its remake (Aag) was big flop.If iam not wrong, Aamir khan can definately replace Amitabh role and Akshay kumar can replace veeru role. And coming to Gabbar role, nobody else can replace Gabbar now. May be Amrishpuri could have justified it more or less, but he is no more. Today most anti-heros are also comedians and they have to fufill villain role along with comedian role.So it is difficult to match serious Gabbar role standards. Sanjeev kumar role can be easily replaced with nasheeruddin shah or Ompuri. But Raamu made a big mistake, but iam glad that he dared.

Infact in my undergraduation, i use to imgagine some of my friends in different roles of Sholay. Nobody will believe it if i tell this now but we had a good team of friends who were best fit for almost all the roles of Sholay. Indeed we had a best match for the role of Gabbar. I think they will definitely justify movie if i plan to make one in future because they are easily available and they are natural fit for each role, i mean they dont need script and rehearsals. See the titles of Sholay with my own stars.

Money On Top of All

Now people are more or less identified with the money than their talents and skills, which otherwise make this planet more beautiful than we imagined. Day by day the quality of a person is decreasing due the growing importance of the money in our life. We neither have same conditions that existed before nor have the same kind of people who once created wonderful things in this planet for us; They neither lived for money nor created any wealth for their family. Thats why they are still remembered.

If ignorance was predominating before, insecurity is more dominating now. All human relations are becoming more and more professional and meaningless. People with good heart are unable to extend their hand for others because of the insecurity lying around them. Ninety-nine percent of people are in wrong professions not because of their choice but only because of the existing conditions. When we finally reach an age/stage when and where we may have sufficient money and self created world but still carry those marks of thirst and remnants of desires that existed all throught our life. By then the zeal and energy for other things will diminish and mostly will be trapped in a family bondage. Finally, we will find ourselves in a manipulated template where you see rules and boundaries that cannot be changed anymore.

80/20 rule: Nature's Law or An Observation????

I do not remember exactly how i learned about 80/20 rule. May be, i read it somewhere or heard it from the mouth of somebody, but it interested me a lot while i was in engineering. Today i happened to recall this rule again as i want to share something interesting. I googled to understand this rule again.

80/20 rule is true in many instances. It is very simple to understand. According to this rule, 80% of the wealth in this world is contributed by about 20% people.It is also called Pareto Principle. It can be applied to any field; science, social or management.

Other example:

1) 20% parts in a car/vehicle make up 80% of total cost
2) 20% people produce 80% results in organization/party/country
3) 80% of monalisa picture was painted in 20% time etc

PS: 20% and 80% are not exact figures but approximations;

This rule may seem juss an observation to us. This can not be denied. But it may give more meaning to an economist. Neither it is nature's law nor can be be proved all the times mathematically. It only helps us get a picture of whats happening around us in a simple and interesting way.

VNS: Voidness

I eat, I work, I sleep...list goes.. on...Thats wat makes a routine life. What is the driving force for all of these activities; merely a survival? I know, later these questions will lead to spirituality but i want to stop it at this moment, juss in case....

My interaction with many of my friends, colleaques and family made me to realize that at some point of time (in a day or week or month or year) all of sudden, we all experience loneliness (feel VNS in our life) even after having a big network of friends, family and busy life schedule. Each of us goes through VNS experience irrespective of their status, single or married. It is more evident in some groups such as old people, famous people and intellectuals, who come across VNS more frequently than a common man. Each of us handles VNS in his/her own way. For me, I realized, the only way to avoid VNS to some extant is to engage in some activity that I like and enjoy to do. I mean taking U turn from daily mundane life. Usually, VNS handling varies from person to person. If some people choose to talk to their friends, some play sports; If some choose to shop, some watch televsison/movie; if some choose to travel, the others write/read book etc etc...and Iam damn sure, rest of all are surfing net :).

However, we cannot permnantly devoid VNS from our life. Right now, Iam unable to find satisfactory causes for VNS. It probably requires spiritual investigation. I know it is very sensitive discussion but i still want to know the reasons behind VNS. If anybody has any comment...I would love to see that...
